My heart

I have early memories of sitting in trees and noticing the intricate world of nature. I remember watching my mom, my dad, my neighbor, and my grandma, all garden in their own way. I remember sitting in a fern gully in Michigan and it was almost as if time would stop while I watched the wildlife around me. I have always felt an inner connection to the beauty I found when I was outside, and I hope to share it.

I am raising my kids to play in the dirt, use their imaginations, and cultivate a love and care for nature. I have been lucky to learn from many other gardeners and experts as I have grown my own expertise. My own season of growth, has shown me that a true gardener knows that they are always learning. I live and lead with curiosity and awe to the world around me and what happens when we care enough to help a plant succeed. I hope to inspire the joy of connecting with the imagination, beauty, growth, and health that we can create for ourselves, others, and the world by engaging with plants. When we can make these connections, there’s no stopping the beauty to come.

“A garden is a nursery for nurturing connection, the soil for cultivation of practical reverence.” Robin Kimmerer
